Lumi Sift maintains its privacy policy directly on the official website. We take your privacy extremely seriously. Designed as a Local-First tool, it fundamentally guarantees the safety of your photo library data.

  • We take your privacy extremely seriously. Lumi Sift is designed as a Local-First application. You have absolute control over your photo library, image files, and any associated data.
  • The core philosophy of this app is to utilize on-device artificial intelligence for all data processing, fundamentally eliminating any risk of data leakage.

2. Information We Collect

  • By default, we do not collect, store, transmit, or sell any of your personal data or image files to developer-controlled servers.
  • You do not need to register for an account to use the full core features of this application.
  • No developer server uploads: Whether it is the images you scan, generated hash values, AI semantic feature vectors, or your culling operation logs, everything is strictly kept locally on your device.

3. Core Principle: 100% Local Processing

  • AI computations are entirely local: Perceptual hashing (Quick mode) and deep AI visual analysis (Prime mode) are performed entirely on your device's CPU, GPU, or dedicated AI acceleration chips.
  • Data isolation: Image feature data generated during analysis only exists while the app is running and within the local database, never leaving your device's local sandbox environment.

4. Permissions Usage

  • Photo/File Access: In order to read and analyze your images, the app will request permission to access specific folders or your system Photo Library upon first use.
  • Security Commitment: Lumi Sift only reads images within the scope you explicitly authorize and will never access unauthorized files or directories. File movement operations (e.g., moving to the trash folder) are protected by system-level sandboxing.

5. Third-Party Services & Analytics

  • We strictly do not integrate any third-party ad networks or behavioral tracking plugins (such as Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, etc.).
  • Your app usage habits, culling preferences, and personal characteristics will not be packaged and sent to any data brokers.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

  • Discard Processing Mechanism: When you choose to delete similar or discarded images, Lumi Sift safely moves these files to a 'trash' folder in the same directory without executing a silent permanent deletion. You can recover them at any time before clearing that folder.
  • App Data Cleanup: If you decide to uninstall Lumi Sift, all locally generated feature database caches associated with it will be completely removed through the system's uninstallation process, leaving no traces.

7. Changes to the Privacy Policy

  • As the app evolves or legal requirements change, we may update this privacy policy appropriately. If changes occur, we will publish the updates on this page and update the Effective Date at the top. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
